Create with Premium Bullseye Glass!
Premium handmade Bullseye glass is ideal for high-quality kiln work. Specifically formulated and tested for compatibility, this glass withstands multiple firings for complex projects without devitrification. The flatter double-rolled surface minimizes bubble entrapment, so colors can be layered for custom hues. A subtle "catspaw" texture allows modest light transmission when used in stained glass projects, creating an organic look.
Bullseye’s Double Rolled (30) sheets have a flatter surface than single-rolled sheets. Thin Rolled (50) are half the thickness of standard glass (1.6 mm) and exceptionally easy to cut.
Bullseye Striking Glass Bullseye produces some glasses that appear pale or even colorless in their cold form but “strike” or mature to a target color when fired to the right temperature. Stained glass and mosaic makers should beware of striking glasses. The unfired sheet colors for strikers vary widely and may not be suitable.
For Kilnformers/glass fusers some glasses appear pale or colorless and “strike” (i.e. change) to the target color only after reheating. Keep in mind that the resulting color may vary depending on variations in the temperature, atmosphere or amount of heatwork.
For projects that are especially color-sensitive, we recommend fusing or torchworking a small sample of your glass before use, to best understand the final color result.
